Cinneroth was a district near the Sea of Galilee, probably the fertile plain later called the plain of Gennesaret. The name is a form of Chinnereth.

Definition

Cinneroth was a small enclosed district beside the lake and north of Tiberias. It is another form of Chinnereth and was probably the area later known as the plain of Gennesaret.

Cinneroth occurs as a territorial designation in connection with Naphtali and the region beside the lake.
