Amon, also called Amen, was an Egyptian deity especially associated with Thebes. He was worshiped as Amen-Ra, or “Amen the Sun,” and is mentioned in connection with No-amon.

Amon, or Amen, was an Egyptian deity whose name appears in No-amon. He was one of the eight gods of the first order and chief of the Theban triad. At Thebes he was worshiped as Amen-Ra, “Amen the Sun.”
