About This Artwork
Moses Is Holding Up His Rod. Caption: "Moses is holding up his rod in his hand, and because his arms are tired, two men are helping him hold them up. Why is Moses doing this? Because some bad men, called Amalekites, have come to fight with the Israelites. As soon as the Amalekites came, Moses went up on the top of this hill, and held up his rod, and as long as he held it up God helped the Israelites. So Moses held it up until they had driven the Amalekites away."
