The man had never doneanything bad, but, on the other hand, he hadnever done anything good. He had lived aperfectly proper, but a very selfish life. Hisonly way was to break with it all, to give it allup, and come out into a totally different man-ner of living. But the young man rose slowlyfrom his knees, with a long face, and turnedabout and went away. He felt that that wastoo much. It was at that time that our Lord said, How hard it is for them that trust in richesto enter into the kingdom of God ! It is easierfor a camel to go through the eye of a needle,than for a rich man to enter into the kingdomof God.
