Ruth and Naomi

 Willem Drost (1633-after 1663) was popular in Rembrandt's circle and Rembrandt's influence is evident in this painting. From the evidence of a preparatory drawing in Bremen, it seems likely that part of the canvas has been cut off on the right.

The influence of Rembrandt is evident in the use of light and shadow.
