Abraham and Hagar

Little is known about this Netherlandish painter.  He painted courtiers, religious scenes and landscapes and his style included rather stiff and gangling figures.  Many of his paintings were destroyed in the great fire in Haarlem, Netherlands in 1576,

This work is an Oil on panel.  It measures 94 x 131 cm.  It is on display in the  Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza, Madrid
